Dr. David Lim is a Diplomate of the American Board of Endodontics, having achieved board certification alongside his colleague, Dr. Alexander Jake Moreno. This prestigious distinction—earned by fewer than 25% of practicing endodontists—reflects his dedication to clinical excellence, lifelong learning, and the highest standards of specialty patient care.

A California native, Dr. Lim was born and raised in Fremont. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry and Cell Biology from the University of California, San Diego, before receiving his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from Western University of Health Sciences, College of Dental Medicine in 2015.

Following dental school, Dr. Lim practiced general dentistry while mentoring newly graduated dentists as they transitioned into clinical practice. His passion for preserving natural teeth and treating complex dental conditions ultimately led him to pursue advanced specialty training in endodontics at Loma Linda University. There, he earned both his Master of Science in Dentistry (MSD) and Certificate in Endodontics, completing his residency in 2022 alongside Dr. Jake Moreno.

Since completing his specialty training, Dr. Lim has provided advanced endodontic care throughout Southern California before joining Skyway Endodontics. He is committed to delivering exceptional, evidence-based treatment using the latest technologies and contemporary techniques to ensure patients receive comfortable, predictable, and compassionate care.

In addition to private practice, Dr. Lim serves as a faculty member in the Graduate Endodontics Program at Loma Linda University School of Dentistry. As an educator and mentor, he is passionate about training the next generation of endodontists, sharing his clinical expertise, leadership, and commitment to excellence. He also regularly participates in advanced continuing education and professional seminars to remain at the forefront of innovations in endodontics.

Dr. Lim is proud to bring his expertise and patient-centered philosophy to Skyway Endodontics, where he shares the practice's mission of providing world-class specialty care in a welcoming, compassionate environment.

Outside the office, Dr. Lim enjoys traveling, exploring the outdoors, discovering new restaurants, watching movies, and spending quality time with family and friends. He and his wife especially enjoy experiencing the world through the eyes of their young daughter and son, creating meaningful memories together as a family.
