Dr. Alexander Jake Moreno is a Diplomate of the American Board of Endodontics, the highest level of professional achievement in the specialty of endodontics. Attained by fewer than 25% of practicing endodontists, board certification signifies advanced clinical expertise, rigorous peer evaluation, and an unwavering commitment to excellence in patient care.
Dedicated to preserving natural teeth through precision, innovation, and compassionate care, Dr. Moreno combines advanced specialty training with state-of-the-art technology to provide patients with an exceptional treatment experience. His philosophy is simple: every patient deserves meticulous, evidence-based care delivered with empathy, transparency, and respect.
Dr. Moreno received his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from Loma Linda University School of Dentistry. He then returned to Southern California, where he practiced alongside his father in the San Fernando Valley before the two acquired and operated a successful dental practice together. During this time, he also earned his Master of Business Administration (MBA) from La Sierra University, further strengthening his expertise in leadership, innovation, and healthcare management.
Motivated by a passion for saving natural teeth and managing the most challenging endodontic cases, Dr. Moreno returned to Loma Linda University to complete advanced specialty training in endodontics. There, he earned both his Certificate in Endodontics and a Master of Science in Dentistry (MSD), receiving extensive training in contemporary microsurgical and nonsurgical endodontics, dental traumatology, diagnosis of complex dental pain, and evidence-based treatment techniques.
Today, Dr. Moreno is proud to serve Chico and the surrounding Northern California communities as the owner of Skyway Endodontics. Every aspect of the practice has been thoughtfully designed to deliver an elevated patient experience—from advanced diagnostic imaging and surgical microscopy to modern treatment techniques that prioritize precision, comfort, and predictable outcomes. His commitment is not simply to perform root canal therapy, but to preserve each patient's natural dentition with the highest standard of specialty care.
Beyond clinical practice, Dr. Moreno remains deeply committed to advancing the profession of endodontics. He intends to serve as an educator and mentor at Loma Linda University School of Dentistry, sharing contemporary techniques and clinical principles with future generations of endodontic specialists. He believes that continual education and lifelong learning are essential to providing patients with the most advanced care available.
Outside the office, Dr. Moreno enjoys traveling, following professional and collegiate sports, watching films, and creating lasting memories with his family. He and his wife, Tika, are the proud parents of three children—a son and identical twin daughters.
